Support Us

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved and support us. Here are a few ideas but we’re always open to new ideas and suggestions on how we can make Calne Wordfest even better!

Individuals

If you’d like to find out more about what we do and potentially make a donation to help us run literacy events then please get in touch.

If you’re looking for some work experience to put on your CV or want something to do for a few hours a week then why not volunteer with us? We currently have vacancies for the following roles:

  • Social Media content creator

Do you enjoy sharing news and pictures on social media? We’re looking for someone who can keep our website and social media pages up to date by promoting our events and activities and producing a quarterly newsletter. Full training will be given and hours are flexible. Please contact us to find out more

  • Administrator

If you enjoy organising things then we need your help! We’re looking for someone who is comfortable using a PC to help with event organisation. Full training will be given and hours are flexible. Please contact us to find out more

  • Events volunteer

If you enjoy socialising and meeting new people then you’ll love this role! We’re looking for people who can help out at Wordfest events in and around Calne. Our events usually take place at weekends or in the school summer holidays but you won’t need to commit to supporting at every event we run. Full training will be given. Please contact us to find out more

Companies and organisations

If you work for or run a company you can support us in one of two ways:

  • Fund a Learn to Read course, it costs just £7,000 plus VAT to give 6 adults the opportunity over 20 weeks to raise their reading level above the age of 11

  • Make a donation to help cover the literacy based activities and events we put on throughout the year

Please get in touch to find out more.

Charitable Trusts

We can target your resources to areas that matter to you so please get in touch (link through to contact us page) to find out more about what we do and how your funding can make a real difference to people’s lives.
