Calne Walking Netball

Updated: Sep 27, 2022

Calne walking netball was set up in 2018 by Krista Gilbert & Sue Peskett after they had attended a hosting course organised by England netball with support from Wiltshire County Council in line with their active Wiltshire initiative.

Both Sue & Krista are ex club players, they were nearing their 60's and wanted to find our more about this more relaxed, inclusive version of the game that would get them back on court with a netball in their hands again! Two of the rules that are a little challenging for those entering the sport having played previously, is No Jumping & No Running. Yet, as club members will testify, once mastered, this still makes for a fun aerobic exercise in a safe environment.

Calne walking netball club is made up of a great bunch of ladies. It is an inclusive & friendly group that comes together weekly with the main objective of having fun and enjoying the much love game of netball.

Sessions are held at Calne Community Campus on:-

Tuesdays - 4:30pm - 6pm

The first taster session is free and after this the cost is £3.50 per a meet up.

The sessions tend to follow a rough format:-

Warm up, few ball exercises, a game, a cool down & an informal chat together afterwards.

If you are interested in finding out more about about Calne walking netball or would like to attend a taster session, please contact:-

After the summer break Calne walking netball returns on 6th September 2022.
